Help Your Neighbours in Need! Donate to the Ranchlands Community Association Food Pantry

Let’s come together as a community and make a positive impact! The Ranchlands Food Pantry (RFP) is seeking your generous support to ensure nobody in our community goes hungry.

We need non-expired, non-perishable food items to stock our pantry shelves. Canned meats like tuna and chicken, oatmeal with viewable expiration dates, and rice are urgently needed. We have completely run out of those items.

To make donating easy for you, we have placed a wooden Ranchlands Food Pantry box in the Community Centre’s front lobby at 7713 Ranchview Drive. If it is after hours and the doors are locked, there is a slot outside that can be used to place items in the bin. Simply drop off your contributions there at any time! Your generosity goes a long way in providing nourishment to those facing food insecurity.

Cash and gift card donations are also accepted at the office from Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue to support those in need.

For those making large donations, first thank you! You’ll be eligible for a tax receipt. To claim it, please include your name, address, and the purchase receipt when dropping off your donation.

To everyone who has, is, and will support the RFP, your generosity directly impacts the lives of families and individuals in our community. Thank you for your compassion and solidarity in supporting our neighbours. Together, we make a difference!

Do you need food support? We’ve made the process easier! If you or someone you know requires assistance, please visit our community website at www.ranchlandscommunity.com and navigate to the ‘Programs’ tab at the top of the page. There, you’ll find a new intake form that streamlines the process and ensures quicker access to the support you need.

Baby Clothing and Gear Swap

“Because babies just grow so darn fast!”

Happy September!

Join us on Saturday, September 16 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for our free Baby Clothing and Gear Swap, thanks in part to generous funding from the TD Parks People Grant.

This event is open to everyone, with clothing and gear primarily being for infants and toddlers (six and under) and is an opportunity to pass along clothes and gear that your babies have outgrown, while picking up some new stuff for free!

You can drop off clean, gently used clothing at the Ranchlands Community Hall, Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm or Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

We are looking for volunteers to help with sorting and organizing the clothing in advance of the swap. Please let us know if you can help by contacting the office at 403-241-0355 or email us at [email protected].

A huge thank you to our generous event sponsor, the TD Parks People Grant.
