Rosemont President’s Message
Howdy Rosemontians!
As of writing this in early February, it certainly doesn’t feel like winter. The snow is all melted, I’m outside in a t-shirt and I’m pretty sure I hear the prairie crocuses emerging already. Despite all the great things that come with this lovely weather, it has also wreaked havoc on our ice rinks, and it has been painful to watch them, despite the Ice Guys’ best efforts. It feels like every year it starts to go earlier and earlier. Sigh. Such is life I suppose…
With spring around the corner, things are slow for us at the community association. Just a few things to bring to your attention.
If you want to keep up to date with what is happening in Ward 4 with our new councillor, please visit the Ward 4 page on the city’s website and sign up for their newsletter. It can be accessed at Calgary.ca/Ward4. They have been fairly active with updates in the new year so you can learn about meetings at Council and things happening in Ward 4.
Speaking of the city, they are collecting public feedback regarding the overhead Green Line alignment downtown that was developed by the province. If you would like to see renderings and provide feedback, please visit Engage.Calgary.ca/GreenLineDowntown.
And we are planning our annual Pub Night for April 18. Save the date and check the website for details at the start of April. If you don’t already get our emails blasts, you can sign up for them at rosemontyyc.com.
If you are interested in helping with our community association, we always welcome new ideas and folks. We still have our Secretary position available, or if you are interested in becoming a board member, please reach out to [email protected] for more information.
As always, keep looking after family, your neighbours, and yourselves.
Matthew
