The Restrictive Covenant Committee (private group of residents, not a committee of RCA) has been meeting every two weeks at the community hall. We have had some advice to draft a restrictive covenant for Rosemont using restrictive covenants from other communities to save on legal fees. We will be doing this over the summer and will have a meeting in September to present this to the community. The meeting will be Monday, September 15 at 7:00 pm at the hall. If you have any questions or concerns or want to help, please email [email protected] and give your contact information.

There are three things we would like all Rosemont residents to consider:

1. Please talk to your neighbours about the importance of restrictive covenants. Even though Rosevale, Roseview, Rosewood, and Chelsea have restrictive covenants—as well as parts of Cambrian—Rosery, Rosehill, Roselake, Roselawn, Rosetree, and 14 Street do not have restrictive covenants and are vulnerable.

2. Please email [email protected] to tell us you are willing to put a restrictive covenant on your title to protect our neighbourhood.

3. Keep up to date at RosemontYYC.com/RC.

Thank you for your help.
