On March 21, 2023, 27 of the 28 2023 Rosemont Shinny Hockey Players took to the ice at the Acadia Rec Plex for a great game with sisters, brothers, moms, and dads. After the game, we all gathered for a celebration of the season with pizza and the handing out of medals. It was a great party including Matthew Guilherme, our community President, who came to wish Grant Parks and Danielle Parks a fond farewell.
Grant Parks has been our great Shinny Coach for 14 years! We are very sad to see him go but wish him well in his next volunteering endeavors. Danielle has been assisting Grant for 10 years and before that was a Shinny player herself. We hope she can squeeze in some Shinny time beside her busy Engineering career. Matthew presented Grant and Danielle engraved tankards to remember their Rosemont Shinny experience. Raegan Reiter also assisted with coaching this year and we hope she can return. As usual, a big shout out to the Ice Guys for keeping the Rosemont ice so good to skate on and going above and beyond to clear it for us when we had big snows.
