As the holiday season begins, I want to thank our wonderful neighbours—not just the people who live on either side of each of us, but the greater community of Tuxedo Park and the wonderful communities that surround us. We are truly lucky in this little part of our city to have such amazing Community Associations and volunteers within them.
Last month, we suffered a terrible sewer back-up in our lower hall. Sewage filled the basement level and destroyed most of the contents within. We’ve been working ever since to clean up our space and begin the restoration. We’re confident that our little hall will be even better once the work is done, but it has meant many extra hours for our dedicated staff and board members—all of whom jumped into action without question.
Throughout this process, we’ve also been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from our neighbouring CAs. They provided us with office space and meeting spaces and taken in some of our displaced renters. It’s been a wonderful reminder, especially at this time of year, of the kindness of people. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and stepped up on our behalf!
As the New Year approaches, the Tuxedo Park Community Association is looking forward to welcoming new volunteers, board members, and community members to our organization.
Happy Holidays, Tuxedo!
