Dear West Hillhurst Community,

Fall is here at WHCA, and with it comes a season full of programs, events, and community connection!

We’re excited to invite you to our annual Halloween event this month—always a community favourite. Be sure to bring the whole family out for some spooky fun, treats, and activities that bring our neighbourhood together. Please visit our website for event details and follow us on social media.

Our fall programming is now in full swing, and there truly is something for everyone. From clay and art workshops to squash, youth basketball, tot and youth dance, skating, and so much more—including fantastic external programs—you’ll want to register early as spots fill quickly. Don’t miss out!

A special thank you goes out to local artist Daniel J. Kirk for his incredible contributions to our community beautification projects. His work on the utility box art project and the stunning mural at the front of WHCA has added vibrancy and creativity to our neighbourhood—be sure to stop by and take a look!

A heartfelt thank you to all community members who have purchased a yearly WHCA membership. Your support directly contributes to the growth and vitality of our neighbourhood. Membership comes with many benefits, including access to WHCA-hosted events (at least ten each year), priority registration for programs such as preschool and soccer, discounted family non-prime-time ice rates, and use of our two outdoor rinks.

We are also excited to share some of our member-exclusive programs: Member Skate, Sticks and Puck: Weekly from September through June, plus monthly holiday/weekend offerings, and Adult Tai Chi: Sunday mornings.

And finally, we’d like to acknowledge and thank the many local businesses who have partnered with WHCA to provide additional perks and benefits to our membership holders. Their support helps us grow stronger together.

We can’t wait to see you around WHCA this fall!
