Hello Acadians! Just like that, the fall is upon us. We’re welcoming students back to school and gearing up for the season ahead with our annual AGM at the end of the month. Stay tuned for what’s to come!
Bike Parade Recap
Thank you to all the neighbours who came out to our inaugural Bike Parade! We saw you showcase your creativity through the unique decorations crafted for your bikes. We got to learn from the team at Two Wheel View the skills necessary to troubleshoot while on the go. And now you’ll be leading the pack in pointing out where our new bike repair stations are located as well as Acadia’s landmarked heritage sites and ACA business partners! Thanks to all the riders for sharing their morning and energy with us; we hope you had a great time!
Volunteer Appreciation BBQ Recap
What an honour it was to celebrate and recognize the dedicated people who make our community possible! Thank you to all the volunteers and their families who were able to make it to our fully catered BBQ event. Volunteering is a whole family commitment, and it is important to us that our volunteers and their families get to be on the receiving end of appreciation and enjoyment. We are grateful for all that you do, and we couldn’t have pulled off this year’s amazing events without you! We are looking forward to many more years of building an amazing Acadia together and celebrating the folks who make it all possible.
ACA Social Night
September 14, 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Come meet and connect with your neighbours and Acadia Community Association representatives at our upcoming Social Night on September 14. You can be sure to expect refreshments, snacks, board games, and great conversation! Join us at the ARC Social Lounge from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
SouthYeast Brewfest
October 7
BrewFest is back and we’re calling all beer lovers and enthusiasts alike to join us for our fourth annual event. On Saturday, October 7, The ARC will be hosting four to five craft breweries showcasing their best on tap. Come socialize with neighbours and make new friends! There will be music, yard games, and overall revelry. Check our social media and www.acadia.community/brewfest for full event details, to purchase tickets, and for a list of participating breweries.
Casino Fundraiser
December 17 and 18
The casino fundraiser event is our biggest fundraiser and critical to the ACA to support what we do. We’re looking for volunteers who are able to help fill some casino positions on December 17 and 18 at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino! You’ll be well-trained, fed, and assisted in having some fun while getting to see something that you normally would not get to see!
