We would like to take a moment and thank everyone that was able to come out and attend our AGM on April 10. We appreciate your support as we continue to represent our community with the various levels of government.
We will have an update on the fundraising BBQ that will be held during the Parade of Garage sales on May 4.
Our new 55+ group continues to grow, so please share their information with others within the community that might be interested in socializing with other residents. They can be reached on Facebook, by calling 403-744-5301, ext. 3, or by emailing [email protected] for more information.
Plans are still ongoing for the Stampede Breakfast to be held July 6, 2024. If you have any suggestions for activities, please reach out, or if you know of any businesses that might like to be part of it, please have them contact me at [email protected] or call 403-744-5301, ext. 1.
Additionally, we have been advised that the YYC cleanup may be happening on August 25, 2024. More details will be posted as they are confirmed. As for the Annual Parks and Green Space Cleanup, what would motivate you and your family to come out and help clean up garbage in the various spaces? A BBQ with free food? The chance to win tickets to various Calgary attractions? Please let us know so that we can pull the event together for this year. More details on this event to follow.
We have had a few new businesses approach us to be part of the discount program, we are looking forward to finalizing the details so that we can start sharing with the community. If you know of a local business that would be interested in some free advertising within the community, we have now created an online form for them to submit their proposals. Please check out our website and social media pages.
The replacement shed has been a lot more complicated to replace than we thought. We are now being told that we must have an intensive development permit, not just the building permit we were initially told was required. We are still working towards the end goal of getting the shed done before summer.
Most of the spaces in the community garden have been spoken for already for this year, but please feel free to email us at [email protected] and we will add you to the waitlist.
