It was great to see everyone who came out to the Stampede Kick-off Pancake Breakfast co-hosted by the Lake Chaparral Residents Association and the Chaparral Community Association. What a fantastic day full of families enjoying some pancakes, games, and some great weather.
Our Summer Bash is being held at Chaparral Valley Square Park (next to the Outdoor Rink) on Sunday, August 11, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Be sure to follow us on our Facebook page for more up to date information.
The CCA hosts several events throughout the year including Murder Mystery Nights, Easter Egg Hunt, Stampede Kick-off Pancake Breakfast (co-hosted with the Lake Chaparral Residents Association), Summer Bash, Skate with Santa, and Festival of Lights. We are looking for an Events Coordinator to help plan and organize these events. If you would like to help out, please email us.
The Chaparral Community Cleanup, in partnership with the City of Calgary, will be held on September 22 at the lake overflow parking lot. More information will be posted on our social media channels.
The CCA also has several pieces of sports equipment that can be used by members, including adult and child snowshoes, walking poles, and a portable disc golf game. Contact us to sign out equipment.
Monthly board meetings typically take place on the second Wednesday of the month. Our next meeting is scheduled for September.
