Good day Chaparrallians…

Holiday season is upon us, and it is awesome! Fall is always an exciting time for me. Overabundance of Christmas spirit on the store shelves, candy, holiday beverages, get togethers with some friends and family, time change, and tire swaps – all these things that I am looking forward to as the frost sets in and the snow is getting nearer… I do want to ask you a couple of things to keep in mind this festive season: Stay safe – dress warm, do not overindulge in alcohol and drive. Stay close to others – keep in touch with the family and friends, call on one another, check in with your neighbours and keep your hearts open. Be kind and true.

Please remember that the playground zones are still in effect and pay attention when driving up to crosswalks, marked and unmarked. We will be going ahead with another installment of Chaparral’s festival of lights this year and we will be awarding some gift cards to local lighting superstars. Check our Facebook or Instagram pages for more details.

“A true community is not just about being geographically close to someone or part of the same social web network. It’s about feeling connected and responsible for what happens. Humanity is our ultimate community, and everyone plays a crucial role.” – Yehuda Berg
