Clubhouse Update

The Cranston Residents Association is continuing to monitor the Government of Alberta’s orders on COVID-19 closures and restrictions, along with their relaunch strategy, and we are looking forward to opening when it is safe to do so. As per current public health orders, the park and building remain closed at this time. We are awaiting some further clarity from government officials regarding which stage of the relaunch strategy Century Hall will fall into.

Once we know when we are permitted to re-open we will inform residents of this date and of the restrictions that will be in place to ensure physical distancing and to prioritize the health and safety of all residents and staff.

Although the facility is closed, we have staff maintaining the park, Century Hall, community maintenance, and administration.

Events

As per the Government of Alberta and the City of Calgary’s restrictions on gatherings, all our summer events have been cancelled. This includes Canada Day Celebrations, Stampede Breakfast, Riverstone Pub in the Park and the Ice Cream Social. We are sad that we will not be able to experience these events with residents but please keep an eye out on our social media sites for some different virtual and social distance friendly events.

Summer Programs and Day Camps

Should the relaunch plan from the Government of Alberta proceed as planned, Summer Day Camps will be permitted with some modifications and restrictions. The Cranston RA will be following all recommendations based on this plan. At this time, we are not sure about other summer programs. As we receive more information and confirm our plans, we will be sharing updates by email to those already registered as well as posting on our website and social media outlets.

Encumbrance Fees

All property owners in the community of Cranston are members of the Cranston Residents Association (Cranston RA). The Cranston RA is a not-for-profit organization that manages assets owned by the Association for the benefit of Cranston residents. An encumbrance is registered on all property titles in Cranston in favor of the Association to ensure annual payments are provided in accordance with the Articles of Association. Membership is mandatory and applies to each and every property owner in Cranston.

The Cranston Residents Association Annual Fees are now due June 1, 2020. Interest is applied to all accounts outstanding after June 30, 2020.

Fee notices have been emailed and mailed out. If you have not received your fee notice, please contact our office at 403-781-6614 ext. 0 or [email protected].

Cranston Escarpment

With the nice weather, please remember to follow the rules of the Cranston Escarpment so everyone can enjoy it.

Work Around Century Hall

While we are sad not to see everyone around Century Hall, this has given us some time to do some much-needed repairs and cleaning within the hall. We are looking forward to having you back.
