We would like to welcome CastIron Cookhouse & Sportsbar to the area, located at 13200 Macleod Tr. by the theatres off Canyon Meadows. They have a red seal chef on staff with great food. I will be sitting down with Nick McCormick and the other partners to discuss what deals we can bring to Deer Run Membership holders. Two of the other local businesses that have stepped forward are Great Clips in Deer Valley – they will give $2.00 off a haircut with valid Deer Run community membership card and Deer Valley Florist will be offering a discount with valid card as well (discount to be listed on website ASAP). With more snow coming, if you are able to help your neighbours if they require a hand to shovel please be a snow angel. If you’re not able to shovel and need a hand I had run across a new app called MowSnowPros where you can request someone to come shovel for a nominal charge – you set the rate. Doesn’t even have to be every snowfall, just when you need a hand, check it out.
