Development in Mahogany

Curious about what’s happening with new development in Mahogany? Well, we’ve got you covered with an update on the Beverly Mary Resort going in across the street from Westman Village on the west side. The plan was originally circulated to Mahogany residents in 2024 and was approved in January of this year.

What is the Scale of the Project?

The development spans 7.5 acres between Mahogany Road, Mahogany Boulevard, and Mahogany Avenue.

There will be a total of 961 apartment style units built once the project is complete and will include eight residential buildings all together. Three of the buildings will be seven stories high and will border Mahogany Boulevard (only one story higher than the buildings in Westman Village). The other five buildings will be 16 stories high and will be along Mahogany Avenue.

Project Details

Beverly Mary Resort is a purely residential project aside from one Italian Restaurant that will be right across from Analog Cafe.

The entire style of the project will be on par with that of Westman Village and will have lots of amenities. There will be water features, a Village Centre amenity building with an indoor and outdoor pool, a large courtyard, a large gathering area, and more.

All units will be “luxury” rentals, and the rates will be very similar to the Lyric building in Westman Village.

All the parking will be underground in a two-level parking garage and will consist of 1,000 parking stalls, 60 visitor parking stalls, as well as EV charging stations.

What’s Happening Next?

The construction team is aiming to break ground for early site work sometime this fall.

The first phase of the main construction will begin early next year and will likely take about 30 to 36 months with an estimated completion date of early 2029. The first phase will consist of four buildings, representing 390 units. Construction will start along the south end of the site along Mahogany Boulevard (directly across from Mahogany Central Park) and work will continue north along the Boulevard towards Analog Cafe.

Jayman has told us there is a great deal of pride behind this project as the owner is putting his mom’s name on it. It will be part of Jay Westman’s long-term holding property, so they have a vested interest in ensuring it stands the test of time.
