Mahogany’s Follow-Up on Pedestrian Safety Near Central Park

In our August newsletter, we shared feedback from residents regarding the need for pedestrian safety measures when crossing the road to access Central Park. Many community members expressed a desire for clearer crossing markings to enhance safety.

We listened to your concerns and brought them to the attention of the City of Calgary. The City appreciated our efforts to advocate for the community’s needs.

However, the City informed us that there are currently no plans to implement midblock crossings on the roads. They noted that as the area continues to develop, with significant construction still ongoing, they will reassess the situation in the future.

We truly appreciate your feedback. With consistent public input, the City can be encouraged to address issues like this more swiftly. You can share your feedback and concerns with The City of Calgary through 3-1-1.
