Diamond Cove Homeowners Association President’s Message

Queensland cn

Dear Diamond Cove Homeowners,

We hope you’re enjoying a beautiful and restful summer. While we were excited for another fun-filled Neighbours Day, Mother Nature had other plans. Unfortunately, due to poor weather, we had to cancel the event this year. We know this is disappointing, but hope you found joy and connection in other ways that day. Thank you for your understanding, we’ll be back next year!

Landscaping Update

At the time of writing, we’re actively working with our landscaping provider on the planters along the drive. We know this area is important to our residents and we share your desire for a more polished presentation. Progress has been slower than we’d like, but we’re doing our best to ensure improvements are visible soon. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we strive to keep Diamond Cove beautiful.

Board Activity

Your board continues to meet regularly and remains focused on the core priorities we outlined after the AGM:

• Fundraising

• Community Communications

• Bylaw and Covenant Review

• Planning for Future Events

We’ve committed to fewer, but more achievable, projects in our second year. Our goal is not just to take on less, but to follow through on what matters most for our community.

August Community Tips and Reminders

Here are a few ways we can all help keep Diamond Cove safe, connected, and welcoming this month:

• Ridge Path Etiquette: Share the path, whether you’re biking, walking, or out with a stroller or dog. A quick bell or “on your left” goes a long way.

• Bunny Watch: We’re blessed with adorable local wildlife, especially our many little bunnies. Keep pets leashed and enjoy the sightings safely.

• Garage Sale Countdown: Our Annual Community Garage Sale is set for Saturday, September 6, 2025, proudly sponsored again by Brenda Field of Royal LePage. Start setting aside your treasures! Please remember to register before September 2 at diamondcove.yycgarage.sale to ensure you get your signage!

• Water Wisely: With warmer days continuing, please be mindful of your water usage while also helping to keep your yard healthy and tidy.

• Respect Speed Limits: Let’s keep everyone safe: slow down, full stops at crosswalks, and stay alert, especially with kids and pets out and about.

• Pick Up Litter: After blue bin days or windy evenings, stray trash can pop up. If you spot some, even if it’s not yours, lend a hand.

Fundraising Reminder

As shared in July, we’re working toward a $10,000 fundraising goal. If each household gave just $36.76, we could get there together!

You may see board members and volunteers in the community in the coming weeks, feel free to ask questions, make a donation, or share your email address so we can better stay in touch. We’re still accepting cash and cheques, and e-transfers are coming soon.

Stay Connected

Want to receive updates directly to your inbox? Send us your email and we’ll add you to our mailing list. It’s the best way to stay informed between newsletters and events.

We’re incredibly grateful for your continued engagement and care. Diamond Cove is a gem of a neighbourhood, and it’s thanks to neighbours like you.

If you have questions, ideas, or just want to connect, don’t hesitate to reach out. We love hearing from you.

Warm regards,

Sonia Dantu
