Dear Diamond Cove Residents,
I hope this letter finds everyone well as we progress our way into spring. The longer and warmer days are always welcome as everyone makes their way outside to enjoy this great time of year.
We are planning on having our AGM on Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 pm at the Queensland Community Hall. Also, because we are an Enhanced Landscape Community, we are required to have a vote every five years to continue with the tax levy. The levy supports all the annual upkeep on 16 flowerpots on Diamond Drive which includes flower planting, upkeep during the summer season, and winter pot change-over. There will be City of Calgary representation at this meeting to both supervise and gather information from the vote. Please bring identification to this meeting as we will be corresponding your name to the property listing.
We are also set to host our annual Neighbour Day barbecue in the tot lot park on Saturday, June 15. Once again, we have Dorothea Sautter and Viki Fairbairn from Royal Lepage Benchmark sponsoring and attending this event. Please come on out and enjoy a hot dog or two and a cold beverage. We are very thankful for their continuing support with our events in the community!
We are also looking to renew and refresh some board seats as certain members have expressed an interest to step aside if replacements put their names forward. As younger families appear in the community, this would be a great time to join a good cause, get to know other people, and have your ideas and thoughts heard.
