Hi Everyone!
Here we are in the month of September. What will this month bring? Heaven only knows because things change daily here at the community center and in our city. As it stands to this date, all is the same as last month. We are still waiting to see what organizations will be starting up and the requirements we need to take to keep everyone healthy and in a clean and sanitized environment.
Helen has started a small group of yoga classes every Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:15 am. Her classes are limited, so if you are interested, please contact Linda at the community center for more info.
We have a few people who have started to come out to play pickleball. The limit is 15 for now, but will change as soon as COVID-19 improves. Please contact Judith, 403-271-2176, or the community center, 403-278-3366, to register. Our evenings will be Sundays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Other dates will be determined later on. Please check our website, QueenslandDiamondCove.com, and Facebook for updates.
The Good Food Box is still available, so please have your order in by September 7 for your delivery on September 17. Prices are: Large $35.00, Medium $30.00 and Small $25.00 Contact: [email protected] to order.
AGM – This will be determined soon. Watch for notices on our website and Facebook page.
Renovations – These are ongoing. We have new doors that have been installed and painted in the gym. They look awesome. Thank you to all involved in setting this up.
While I am giving special thanks to people, I would like to give a bouquet to both Linda and Carmen. They have done an awesome job scrubbing, cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, and painting the inside of the community center during these crazy quarantine months. THANK YOU. Everything looks wonderful.
A special thanks also goes out to Roy for all of his help at the community center during these summer days. I know you would rather be out golfing but all of the time you have put in at the center has not gone unnoticed.
Well, that is all for this month. Keep watch for notices for our AGM.
Until next time
Judith
