Meet Lou, our family dog who’s coming up on her sixth birthday and doing things entirely her own way. She’s a labradoodle, though she doesn’t quite match the typical description of the breed. Instead of being high-energy and eager to lead the pack, Lou proudly embraces a slower pace. She’s happiest taking her time, especially when the weather turns cold—cool air is truly her element.
If you ever spot us out for a walk in the neighbourhood, chances are Lou is bringing up the rear, contentedly trailing behind while the rest of us move ahead. What she lacks in speed, she more than makes up for with her incredible nose. Lou has an unmatched talent for sniffing out everything, which works perfectly for her because she is a devoted lover of all foods—especially those that might technically be considered garbage. She is always on the hunt for a forgotten crumb or hidden morsel, and she takes this job very seriously.
Lou is not just loved by us; she’s a favourite across the extended family too. Grandma and Papa are always happy to have her over for the day, and G often takes her out for special walks of her own. She brings comfort, laughter, and a whole lot of personality wherever she goes.
We truly can’t imagine our lives without Lou. She’s family in every sense of the word.
