Meet Piper: Willow Park’s Resident Fox (Well… Almost)
Hello, humans of Willow Park. Piper here. Yes, I know what you’re thinking— “Is that a fox lounging in my neighbour’s living room?” Nope. I’m a Shiba Inu, though I won’t deny I’ve used my foxy red good looks to score extra treats over the years.
At 13 and a half, and I’m what you might call a local legend. I’ve been patrolling these streets since before some of you even moved in. My hobbies include supervising magpies (they never listen), quality-control of sunny patches, and offering judgmental side-eye to passing puppies who just don’t know the rules yet.
I take my role as neighbourhood dignitary very seriously. I expect respectful head nods from fellow canines, and humans are welcome to admire me from a distance—unless you’re holding snacks. Then, I’ll allow you to approach.
Though my zoomies days are behind me (knees, you know), I still enjoy the occasional strut to show the young pups how it’s done. I may be seasoned, but I’m still sharp, sassy, and a little bit grouchy.
So next time you see me, feel free to say hello—but let’s keep it classy. I have a reputation to maintain.
Stay pawsome,
Piper
