As the days get longer and we start to think about spring, it’s once again time to prepare for our Community Association’s Annual General Meeting. This year, our AGM is scheduled for Monday, April 14 at 7:00 pm. I know AGMs can get a bad rap, but for our community, our AGM’s focus on connecting with people, sharing stories about the great work we are doing as a community, and sharing ideas on how we can do things even better.
Beyond our AGM, there are many opportunities to get involved, either as a board member or volunteer. Whether you’re interested in capital planning, civic affairs, enhancing our trees and green spaces, fundraising, running and planning events, or getting engaged with one of our clubs or crews (pickleball, ice rink, community garden, etc.), we try to be a holistic CA, and we love to support our members’ efforts to enrich our community experience. We are very lucky to have a broad and experienced board, but many of our board members have served for over five years, so we are actively looking for new community members to ensure board continuity, as well as bring fresh ideas, energy, and relationships.
