WRCA President’s Message for June

On April 29, our community association hosted our annual general meeting where we confirmed our 2024-2025 board and our plans to continue investing in our facility, services, and community. Our community association board remains well rounded with sixteen members and our association would like to thank outgoing director Andres Galindo for the significant work he invested in developing our 2021-2027 strategy as well as welcome our new board member at large, Susie McQuaid. Our community is blessed to have hundreds of active volunteers who make this a great place to live, and this year our association was pleased to present our Volunteer of The Year award to Shirley Mikolajow. Shirley has supported many community association events over the years, and over the past year she went above and beyond as the project lead for our new building sign. For 2024-25, our community association will remain focused on supporting the ongoing civic affairs issues of rezoning and tree canopies, and we will begin the redevelopment of our parking lots and fields based on the conceptual plan that was developed for us by Dialog Designs and unveiled in March 2024. If you want to get engaged in making our community an even better place, please contact me at [email protected].
