Message from the Board
It’s hard to believe that we are already in March! It is wonderful to see the days getting longer and brighter. There is something inspiring about the “new beginnings†that spring brings, and the optimism and excitement about the future it can make us feel.
Speaking of the future, you may have had the opportunity to attend our Community Collaboration Event in late January (immediately after the AGM) and hear about some of the work we’ve been doing to support Braeside today, and well into the future. We had a great turnout and those in attendance had the opportunity to:
• Hear the results of our extensive community feasibility study.
• Explore the designs created by the University of Calgary’s Master of Architecture students.
• Contribute to the conversation about Braeside’s future.
If you missed it, not to worry – you can learn more on our website, at upcoming events at the BCA and on our social media channels. There will also be the opportunity to continue to share ideas and feedback as we move ahead on our future planning journey.
We want to extend our appreciation to Ward 11 Councillor Rob Ward for attending our AGM and Community Collaboration event and joining in on the conversation about our community’s future. Huge thanks to all the volunteers and staff who made it happen, and of course all the Braeside community members who came out to listen, learn, and share their ideas.
Let’s keep the conversation going!
