On Saturday, May 6 the BCA held a Volunteer Appreciation Brunch honouring our volunteers at the Community Association. Attendees enjoyed finger sandwiches, meat and cheese platters, with pastries and cookies to round out the meal. Thank you, Oakridge Co-op, for donating the food and beverages for our attendees! Volunteers played community themed games and had a few laughs together at the gathering.
The BCA would like to thank all of the volunteers, past and present for their dedication to bettering the community by sharing their time and talents with us. We would also like to express our gratitude to the Honorable Whitney Issik for contributing HBC gift cards for our lifetime service honorees, and Kourtney Penner, our Ward 11 Councillor for supporting and honouring our volunteers at the celebration.
