Winter Programs and Valentine’s Dance – Thank You!
Ice Skate Lessons
A heartfelt thank you to Sarina, Sparrow, and Kendra for leading our Ice Skate Lessons from December through February. We braved the deep freeze and the mid-season melt, and thanks to their dedication, 23 registrants grew more confident and capable on the ice.
Concession Volunteers
We are also incredibly grateful to our growing team of middle school concession volunteers who kept things running smoothly all winter. From Monday through Thursday, shifts were filled with hardworking youth serving up snacks and sharpening skates, right up until the ice did what ice eventually does and disappeared for the season.
Valentine’s Dance
Our Valentine’s Dance on February 14 was a wonderful success. Special thanks to CMCA Business Partners Code Ninjas Willow Park (extra props for set-up and take-down), Tasha Walsh from Destinations Await, and Sylvan Learning Mid South for sponsoring activities and prizes. Thanks to Sweets and Florals Sisters for their donation of flowers and cookies for door prizes. Their support helped us create a welcoming, lively evening and encouraged strong attendance.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebration. Kyley from Little Something Beautiful was a fantastic host for the dance games, and the digital photo booth was, as always, a crowd favourite. We’re also grateful to the many volunteers who helped with the concession, set-up, entry table, coat check, take-down, and the impressive balloon arch generously donated by a previous renter. That arch has already been paid forward to at least two more parties before it reaches the end of its festive life.
We appreciate every volunteer, sponsor, and attendee who helps make these events possible. Until the next gathering!
