All of us are wishing all of you a very Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you all get to break up the winter weather with some romance, self-care, celebrations, or maybe just a little chocolate treat! It may not feel like it, but the bulk of winter is behind us now, time to think about the forthcoming spring season. Check out our upcoming gardening classes, soup making class, and of course the Spring Market. You can always find details and registration information on our website, come join the fun!
A dedicated group of volunteers has taken on the maintenance for our outdoor rink, making our winter season brighter. The rink can only function with the hard work and commitment of these volunteers and we are so thankful to all of them! We love to see so many people in the neighbourhood coming out to get their skates on! Come join us, get some exercise, meet some new friends and check out your Community Centre, everyone is welcome!
Pickleball classes have continued with a series of novice level sessions held last month. These classes are very popular, so if you’re interested, please keep an eye on the upcoming events and Pickleball pages on our website. It’s a great time to join our Pickleball program, you can learn quickly, and with the right commitment may be a competent player by summer! Get in touch with the Centre, we’d love to help you get started!
All the events happening at the Centre are only possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to make your mark and create the kind of community you want to live in. Are you looking to improve your skills? Want to add some volunteering to your resume or school applications? We welcome you to come find an opportunity to share your expertise and passion with your community! Every new volunteer makes Cedarbrae a better place to live work and play!
The Cedarbrae Community League Association (CCLA) is guided by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the members of our community. The Board meets at the Cedarbrae Community Centre on the second Sunday of every month at 11:00 am, with the exception of July and August.
