The Cedarbrae Community League Association (CCLA) is guided by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the members of our community. The Board meets at the Cedarbrae Community Centre on the second Sunday of every month at 11:00 am, with the exception of July and August. If you’ve marked your mailbox to exclude junk mail you may not receive this newsletter, please find extra copies at the Community Centre.

The holiday season at Cedarbrae was well attended with our annual Christmas Market, Winter Break/Family Break, The Home Safety Workshop, and lots of holiday party rentals at the Centre. In January we expect to see more evening sports groups starting their new seasons in our gym, an Italian Cooking class, and registration for our always popular garden classes.

A dedicated group of volunteers has taken on the maintenance for our outdoor rink, making our winter season brighter. The rink can only function with the hard work and commitment of these volunteers and we are so thankful to all of them! Watch the weather and come join us for a great Canadian pastime, get your skates on!

Recently we’ve held beginner classes for new pickleball players which proved to be very popular. Check our website for potential new dates for pickleball classes, It’s the fastest growing sport in North America for good reasons, maybe it’s time you joined in on the fun, come see what all the fuss is about!

All the events happening at the Centre are only possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing volunteers. Are you looking to improve your skills? Want to add some volunteering to your resume or school applications? We welcome you to come find an opportunity to share your expertise and passion with your community! We are currently looking for volunteers to paint the Centre’s main floor kitchen. We’d also love to partner with a volunteer who is experienced in website design and maintenance. Get in touch if you’d like to take on this or another exciting new challenge!
