Let’s Talk Cedarbrae: Mother’s Day High Tea
The Cedarbrae Senior’s Group has a big, bold plan to celebrate motherhood in Cedarbrae. They are planning a High Tea, complete with all the finger sandwiches, fine China, fascinators, and finery such an event calls to mind. The hope is that this will be something we can repeat each year for Mother’s Day, creating a lasting legacy and celebration.
The event hopes to raise funds to accomplish some much needed renovations in our kitchens, with all the proceeds going back into our Community Centre. It’s a lot of work, and it’s run by volunteers, which means we need your help Cedarbrae! Please consider those long unused China cups, saucers plates, serving ware and spoons. Are they still an important keepsake, or could they do more good donated to your Community Centre? Maybe a spring clear-out and donation can be your good deed for the season!
We are especially interested in coffee and teaspoons along with all the cups and serving ware. Large electric kettles in good working order would also help out. Your donation would help us create something we could recreate every year! Of course, if you’d like to come volunteer on the day in some capacity, we’d love to hear from you too!
