Happy December
I hope most of you have recovered from all the food frenzy holidays of Thanksgiving and Halloween. I was very thankful for my kids Halloween candy that left me with a much-needed chocolate escape when I needed it. Now the holidays are just around the corner! Whatever holiday you may celebrate over December and New Years, I wish you and your family Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
I am very excited to share that we have our second annual CKE Toy, Food Bank, and Mustard Seed Drive coming up this month. We would like to fill the gym with donations, as this is a hard year for so many! So please bring what you can, as every little bit helps! Cheques will also be accepted for the various charities. If you have any questions about this event, please contact [email protected]. Our drive takes place on Saturday, December 11 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the CKE Community Hall.
The CKE Board would like to keep everyone in the community informed of the City of Calgary statutory planning document called the Heritage Local Area Plan. You can find out more about the Heritage Plan and Guide at this site: https://engage.calgary.ca/heritage.
The information on this webpage will answer most of your questions. You can also drop written comments off at the City consultation box that will be located just north of the main entrance to the CKE Hall.
