Happy New Year!
Well, we made it through another year and a new beginning in the year of 2022. I hope you all had an amazing few weeks of holidays and were able to celebrate with your families. I was able to take some time off with my family in sunny California, it was a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of the day-to-day schedule.
On behalf of the CKE, I am very excited to welcome you into the new year! If you haven’t already, please check out the fantastic upgrades at our community outdoor rink, we have some new netting to help contain those pucks! We also have a third outdoor rink this year courtesy of the City of Calgary adopt-a-rink program. Please check it out, just off Klondike Avenue.
I am very excited to share that we have brought back our Casino night this year! This fundraiser brings in some very important funds for the CKE community, so it’s great to have it back this year. The event is February 12 and 13 at the Deerfoot Casino. We need volunteers, so please email Sue at [email protected] if you are interested.
I want to announce an opening on the CKE Board! If you love the CKE community and you want to get involved and make a difference, joining the Board is a great way to do so. We currently have an opening for the position of Social Director. This position involves planning and executing events to connect community members together.
The CKE Hall is a fantastic benefit we have in our community, and includes a gym, meeting room, studio, lounge, and more! To make a rental inquiry or reservation please email [email protected].
