Meet Your CHPH Treasurer!
Smita Sharma is a resident of Patterson and has been the treasurer for CHPH since December 2020. We’re very lucky to have her expertise on our board as she is a CPA and manager at PwC in Calgary. In her free time, she loves to travel, train her dog Phoebe for agility competitions, and explore new walking paths across the city.
An Interview with Smita
Why did you join the board?
I used to be the treasurer for my condominium association, and decided I wanted to give back to my broader community. As a CPA, I feel my contributions have significantly assisted the community by finding cost savings, streamlining processes, and modernizing systems. I also wanted to meet more people and I have developed some great friendships through the board. We work hard but we also love to have fun as well!
What is your favourite event that the board puts on?
My favourite event is Movie in the Park! It is so much fun to come out with friends and sit in the grass and watch a movie under the stars. I also really love the food trucks!
Which element are you most excited for about the Outdoor Activity Hub?
I am most excited for the fire pits; it will be nice to be able to sit around the fire pits in the summertime with friends and family!
