Hello Evergreen Residents!
I hope all are having great times.
We had our Winter Festival on Saturday, February 19 and despite the cold weather, we had many families attending and enjoying winter activities. A special thank you goes to all who attended and the team of volunteers who helped in running the event.
Mark your calendar for the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt event on Saturday, April 16 between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm (noon). This event is one of our most popular events of the year and it had always been a great success. This event is usually attended by an average of 500 residents from Evergreen and the surrounding areas. All enjoy a beautiful and fun environment. Easter chocolate generously donated by Evergreen Shoppers Drug Mart will be distributed to kids. Easter Egg Hunt event is free for CECA members and $10 per family for non-members.
The ice rink had been a great success this year with families and kids using it during the winter period. It is also a great opportunity to meet and know your neighbours. Huge thanks go to the great team of dedicated volunteers and residents who volunteered to install, maintain, and take down the rink.
I would like to remind all to purchase/renew their memberships. This can be done online by going to membership page at www.myceca.ca/membership or mail in the membership page included in this newsletter. CECA is a volunteer based non-for-profit organization and with your support via membership purchase and donations, our events, programs, and building amnesties including the ice rink would be possible. We have a lot to offer to our community and funding is a necessity.
We are always looking for people to help us. If you would like to join us, we have a few board member vacancies. You can also help us by volunteering in our year around community events. Please email [email protected] if you are interested.
