Summer is Around!
Hello Evergreen residents!
I hope you and your families are all fine. I am trying a new format for this message using bullets.
– Vaccination campaigns are ongoing. With that, I would like to remind all to continue to follow Alberta Health recommendations, practice social distancing, and practice the general hygiene of washing hands often and wearing masks where required.
– CECA’s annual Easter Egg Hunt was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. I would like to thank Shoppers Drug Mart in Evergreen Village for the continuous sponsorship of the event. All Easter egg bags were donated to Swan Evergreen, Rivera, and Dream Centre.
– There is a noticeable increase of traffic on Fish Creek Boulevard as we see more and more vehicles going to and coming from the Ring Road. I would like to remind drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians to be extra vigilant. Together we can make Evergreen safer.
– CECA is planning for the annual Community Clean-Up. This is an opportunity for all residents to get rid of the material that they do not want. Please check our website and Facebook page for the accepted material and general updates for the event.
– A huge thank you to all Evergreen residents for helping CECA by donating to the GoFundMe campaign. We are so close to reaching our goal of $3,000 that will go towards purchasing lights for the outdoor community ice rink. At the time of writing this message, we are at $2,620.
– CECA is looking for volunteers to fill in two key positions, Grants Director and Volunteer Director. The required commitment from the board volunteer is around 6 to 8 hours each month. If you would like to join us, please email us at [email protected].
