Second Annual Evergreen Multicultural Festival Recap
CECA organized the second Multicultural Festival that was held at Marshall Springs School on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The festival was sponsored by the City of Calgary. CECA partnered with Friends of the Federation of Calgary Communities. This event was made successful and possible thanks to funding from the Calgary Foundation, The Government of Alberta and our special community sponsors: Eric Bouchard, MLA for Calgary-Lougheed, Evergreen Cosmetics, and Sobeys Bridlewood. The festival showcased performances, food, and music from a variety of cultures from our community. Thank you to all participants and to the team of volunteers who ran this successful event.
2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) is planned to be held in October. A new board will be elected. The AGM will be held at Cardel Rec South and online. Residents are encouraged to participate. If you cannot attend, please send your proxy to CECA. Please check our website and social media for the proxy that you need to send and some other details. You need to have a valid membership to send your proxy or attend the meeting and vote in person. We need 20 members attending or sending their proxies to have the AGM valid.
Volunteers Wanted
CECA and the Evergreen community welcome and need your contribution in serving our community. We have openings for volunteers on the board and during our ongoing community events. Currently, we are looking for membership and website directors. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to volunteer on the board or help for one of our events.
