Hello Evergreen neighbours,
I hope you’re all enjoying the crisp fall days and maybe sneaking in a walk through the changing leaves before winter comes knocking.
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who joined us for our third Annual Multicultural Festival in September. As many of you know, this event has become a highlight of our calendar. The vibe, the music, and the variety of performances really showed off what makes Evergreen such a welcoming place. A big thank you as well to the volunteers and sponsors who put in the time and effort to make it happen.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Thursday, October 9, 7:30 to 8:30 pm.

At the AGM we will go over the past year, share what’s ahead, and elect the new board for 2025–26. If you’re a CECA member, you can vote. If you can’t be there, please send in your proxy by Monday, October 6. We need at least 20 members participating for the meeting to count, so every vote matters. The proxy form is available online and takes a few minutes to fill. Please check the AGM 2025 page on our website.
Programs
We are planning to organize a new Home Alone course for kids and youth. Please check our website and social media for details.
Our seniors’ programs are ongoing. If you would like to know more about them, please send our Seniors Director Sherrisa an email at [email protected].
Volunteering
Traffic and Safety Director – Are you someone who is enthusiastic about keeping Evergreen safe and connected? This role requires four to six hours a month.
Ice Rink – Help set up and maintain our community outdoor ice rink that is planned to open in December and run for a few months.
If you have a little time to give, whether in the Traffic and Safety director role on the board, ice rink team, or even just helping out at events, we’d love to hear from you at [email protected].
