The Monarch was a further upscale product of the Mercury Division, Ford Of Canada.
Anyone who remembers 1958 knows Ford discontinued Monarchs for that model year only.
For 1959 they were brought back as the Monarch II to distinguish them from the earlier versions. Then, Ford quietly dropped them from their lineup altogether.
Don’s ’59 has only 58000 original miles, and he’s happy to have one of the handful still in existence. I’ve only ever seen one other.
