June 15 Neighbour Day Celebrations

The rain held off until well after lunch, and we had an excellent time with hot dogs, lawn games, a fire truck, a bouncy castle, a wonderful performance by the Stardale Women’s Group, food trucks, a hoot of a concert from the Heebee-jeebees, a movie and a hockey game, all accompanied by Origin Malting & Brewing Co.

Glendale Hall Official Reopening

As part of our Neighbour Day celebrations, we were honoured to host our neighbours and valued volunteers to the official reopening of our hall. We could not have done it without project and grant support from the provincial and municipal governments. To help with the official plaque unveiling, we had five current and past Board presidents (Chris Welner, Paul McCormick, Jim Kelly, Ken Rogers, and Tina Donkers), as well as Minister of Arts, Culture and Status of Women Tanya Fir, MLA for Calgary-Currie Janet Eremenko, and Ward 6 Councillor Richard Pootmans.
