Hello Glendale!
September has arrived, and with it, the unmistakable scent of school bus exhaust, fresh notebooks, and pumpkin spice everything. Whether you’re a parent, student, teacher, or just someone who enjoys the rhythm of the seasons, this month marks a return to routines and a shift in energy.
As kids head back to school, let’s all take a moment to prioritize community safety. Drivers—please slow down near school zones and playgrounds. Watch for little ones darting across crosswalks and remember that distracted driving can have serious consequences. For those walking or biking, make sure helmets are snug, backpacks aren’t overloaded, and routes are planned out. Safety is a shared responsibility, and together we can make Glendale a secure and welcoming place for everyone.
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is coming up on September 10, and we’d love to see you there. It’s a great opportunity to hear what’s happening behind the scenes, ask questions, and maybe even consider joining our board. We’re always looking for fresh perspectives and helping minds and hands. Property development and change has been a visible and common area of interest to our community members so if you’re interested in taking the lead on development-related matters we have a role open for you!
As the leaves begin to turn and the air gets crisp, it’s also a great time to reflect. What do you love about our community? What could be better? Your feedback helps guide our projects and priorities, so don’t be shy—reach out anytime at [email protected].
Wishing you a safe and smooth start to the school year, and a cozy transition into fall.
Take care,
Myles
