Our “Bumble Bee Lane and Haysboro Plant Exchange” at the beginning of June bloomed with success! Gardeners of all experience levels gathered to share everything from thriving perennials to rare cuttings. The weather held off just long enough for dozens of trades, plenty of plant and pollinators talk, and even a wildflower seed giveaway. Thanks to the dedicated volunteers and the enthusiastic plant lovers who showed up rain or shine. The event was a true celebration of growth, community, and a little bit of luck with the weather!

We served up fun at the Haysboro Courts Kick-off Party! The evening featured a friendly tournament, free BBQ, and even some cheering from the sidelines. Players of all ages hit the courts to celebrate the season opening. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to play, support, and enjoy the day—and an extra special thanks to all the volunteers who made it happen. You helped make this event a smashing success!

HCA Gardening Committee

Are you passionate about gardening, green spaces, and making a positive impact in our community? The HCA has started a Garden Committee and are looking for volunteers to help maintain and enhance our shared green spaces. Please email [email protected] to get involved.

Haysboro Outdoor Market

We will have our final summer dates on Wednesdays, July 9 and 23 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm! Join us at the Haysboro Hall green space for an afternoon of local vendors, fresh finds, and community vibes. July is your last chance to experience the market this summer, so don’t miss out! Bring a picnic blanket, browse the booths, and stay awhile—it’s the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon.

All Candidates Civic Election Forum

We’re excited to announce that the HCA will be hosting an All Candidates Civic Election Forum on Saturday, September 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm! This is your chance to hear directly from the candidates, ask questions, and get informed before you vote. It’s an important event for our community. This is not a drop-in event, and you will need to pre-register and get a free ticket if you’d like to attend. The registration will open on our website mid August, so watch for updates. Let’s come together, stay engaged, and make our voices count!

We’re exploring the launch of three exciting new community groups at the HCA: a Haysboro Knitting Club, Seniors Lunch and Learn, and a Parenting Group—and we want to hear from you! Whether you’re an avid knitter looking to stitch and chat with others, or you’re a senior interested in fun, social, and enriching events close to home, paired with a lunch, these groups are for you. Email us at [email protected] to let us know—and be the first to receive updates on upcoming gatherings, programs, and events!
