The Haysboro Time Capsule started in 2000 for a Millenium Project by three residents that involved funding for signage, commemorative benches, and a time capsule.
Drawings, writings, and poems were provided by the Haysboro School students with a focus on what they thought 2025 would be like. The time capsule was buried at the Haysboro Community Association and now 25 years later, we will be opening it up at our September 13 Haysboro Happenings community event. More details to come.
The committee has partnered with Haysboro Elementary School for submissions for the new time capsule. For any kids in Haysboro not attending Haysboro Elementary that would like to participate, please write a short description (maximum 300 words) about what you think the world will look like in 2050. Ideas could include but are not limited to the following:
• My hopes and dreams for the world in 2050
• What will travel in 2050 look like?
• What will Haysboro look like in 2050?
Submission Deadline
Please drop off items to the HCA mailbox in front of the hall or during office hours. Label it ‘Time Capsule’ with your name and age by July 31, 2025.
