Planning is about envisioning the future of our community, engaging with stakeholders, and making informed decisions that benefit the entire community while navigating the complexities of development and growth. The Haysboro Planning Committee plays a vital role in this process by advocating for residents and ensuring your voices are heard.
Haysboro Planning is a committee formed of concerned volunteers working together to facilitate communication between the community and developers, informing and guiding our residents through the development process in our neighbourhood. Planning is a collaborative effort! We are the ones that distribute information packages to your mailbox if a development is proposed close to your location, and it is important you have your voice heard and make comments as requested. Your comments go on record along with our formal community letter and they do make a difference! You can also follow along with developments proposed for our community on our Facebook page “Haysboro Planning Community Association”.
We are available to answer any questions or suggestions you may have as we are all about transparency and community involvement in the planning process. Feel free to contact us at [email protected] or attend our planning meetings held the first Wednesday of every month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the social lounge of the community association.
Planning meetings are always open for everyone to attend.
Currently we are working with developers on three significant projects along Heritage Drive. Changes are coming, and we are working hard to ensure that when these changes come, they align with our Local Area Plan and reflect the needs and preferences of residents while maintaining a cohesive community identity.
On a final note, we are also working hard to have our Heritage Transit Station upgraded. Do you have any suggestions for what you would like this transit area to look like? Send your suggestions to our planning committee and we will see what we can do.
