Hello Neighbours!

We’ve got some really great events on the calendar for this month!

The Kingsland Parade of Garage Sales is back on June 3 this year. Registration signup closed May 31. A limited number of garage sale maps will be available at the Kingsland Community Hall from 9:00 am onward on June 3, but you will also find an electronic map on our website.

Our annual Kingsland Community Cleanup Day is on Saturday, June 10 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Kingsland Community Hall. Community Cleanup Days save residents a trip to the landfill and are totally free to attend. We can accept general garbage, metal and electronics recycling, gently used housewares, appliances, furniture, and clothing (which will be donated to the Women In Need Society), and any refundable bottles that you would like to donate to our SkipTheDepot Fundraiser. For full event details, please visit our events page on our website. We’ll be looking for volunteers to help direct traffic at the hall, unload vehicles, and people with trucks willing to collect items from Kingsland back alleys. If you are interested in helping with this event, send us an email or signup online.

GlobalFest Groves – Mini One World Festival returns to Kingsland this year on June 25. Cultural pavilions, a performance stage, food trucks, and more will be available for you to enjoy at this free, family-friendly event. GlobalFest’s famous Passport Pursuit will guide you through all the amazing event spaces and those who successfully complete the Pursuit will be entered into a draw for some great prizes. For more information, visit our website!

I hope to see you all out and about as the weather continues to warm up. Don’t forget to come say “Hello!” at our GlobalFest Groves KCA tent and get yourself entered into our draw for a prize basket of local goodies.

Don’t forget that the Broxburn Veggie Truck is back at the Kingsland Community Hall every Tuesday for the summer. A great opportunity to grab some locally grown produce, cheese, pies, and more!

All the best,

Charlotte Quickel

KCA President
