Membership
Membership is our focus for this month. We appreciate those residents who keep their membership up to date. For others, please purchase a membership this month. The fee continues to be just $20 for twelve months.
During COVID, we heard from residents that as the pandemic had cancelled our events and programs, the value proposition for membership was weak. The SECA board took that to heart, and since then, we have worked very, very hard to provide good value by delivering many programs and events, as well as supporting the community through advocacy. SECA has sought out grants, sponsorships, donations, and used casino funds to enable the programs and events to be offered at no charge. Participation has grown steadily and yet our membership numbers are lower than ever. As a member-based organization, SECA needs your support: your moral support and your financial support in the form of a membership purchase. Join today!
Stampede Festival – June 24 from 9:00 am to noon
If you thought that SECA’s reimagined Stampede Festival was fabulous last year, you don’t want to miss it this year. Hang onto your hats because we’re bringing it back, bigger and better on June 24 from 9:00 am to noon. We’re preparing breakfast for the first 800 guests but don’t worry, if you come later, there’s still lots of fun to be had. Onsite parking is limited. Walk or bike if you can.
Volunteering at an event of this size is a really fun way to experience the event. Email [email protected] to pick a role and a shift. Over 70 volunteers are needed.
