New Season of Jazz Events – New Entrance Fee
Our jazz season goes from September to June. There has been a change in entrance fees which will increase by $5. The entrance fee has not changed for many years and during that time there has been a lot of inflation. Other jazz venues already charge more than our new prices. We share the door money with the jazz group, with the community getting a small portion.
New Potluck Season Starts September 14
Potlucks start up on Sunday, September 14. This is a free event. You just bring something to share. Potluck starts at 6:00 pm but we need help setting up at 5:00 pm.
Ward 8 Election Forum
The Civic Election is on Monday, October 20. As there isn’t an incumbent running for Ward 8, we will host an Election Forum to help you learn more about the candidates who are running in Ward 8. Our Ward 8 Election Forum will take place on Thursday, October 2. We will email details closer to this date.
Recruiting A New Social Director
The Social Director position is vacant. This is “fun” portfolio of the board. While we have jazz and potlucks ongoing, you can help create other fun events. If anyone is interested in exploring this position, please contact me at [email protected].
