Holiday Warmth and Community Connections
Thank you to those who have become members of North Glenmore Park Community Association (NGPCA) this year, and welcome to returning or new members. We have had an eventful year and a busy one, with steady activity in our community. It’s wonderful to continue to see the Calgary Girl’s School using our facility during the weekdays and community programs and renters occupying our space during the evenings and weekends.
The holiday season is always a great time to reflect on the connections we build in community. But January tends to be about planning and organizing for the new year. The team at NGPCA, both staff and volunteers, are always looking for ideas and suggestions.
We are seeking a Treasurer to join our board. The time commitment is small, as we have an excellent and experienced bookkeeper who takes care of day to day operations. A treasurer would need to commit approximately 6 to 7 hours a month (this includes the board meeting on the first Monday of each month). If you are building some skills for your resume or perhaps looking at re-entering the workforce, this might be the opportunity for you.
Please mark your calendars for April 2nd and 3rd to work the casino! Come join us for some fun and laughter to help raise money for our operations. We will be posting more about this as we get ready for volunteer sign up in February.
