Community Cleanup (Recycling Day) 2023: Many people are keen to do some spring cleaning at this time of year and in previous years, the Community Cleanup (Recycling Day) event has been a great way to clear out unwanted items with no recycling or landfill costs. Unfortunately, North Glenmore Park was not awarded a Community Cleanup event this year. These events are hosted by The City of Calgary and this year’s demand for events exceeded the City’s capacity; however, community cleanups are open to residents all over the city, so you can attend any cleanup event that you wish. Pick a location and date that works for you. You can find the full schedule of cleanups at https://www.calgary.ca/communities/community-cleanups.html.
Save the Date! The community association’s annual Neighbour Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 17. This popular event is family-friendly fun with food trucks available and free entertainment. We will need volunteers to help make the event a success. Please consider this opportunity. Whether attending the event or volunteering, it’s a great way to celebrate community and meet your neighbours!
