Oh My Oakridge March Community Update
Thanks to the incredible support of our community, Oh MY Oakridge raised $8,500 in 2025 to support greenspace projects that make Oakridge an even better place to live, gather, and enjoy the outdoors. Every dollar raised moves our community’s vision for improved greenspaces forward.
We’re kicking off our first fundraiser of 2025 with a Bottle Drive on March 15 in support of our Master Plan project. Drop off your bottles at the Oakridge Community Association between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm — it’s an easy way to make a meaningful impact.
Can’t make the bottle drive? You can use SkipTheDepot instead! Simply download the app, book a pickup, set out your bags, and choose to donate your refund directly to The Oakridge Community Centre. Need some assistance with how to do this? Check us out on Facebook and send us a message, we will be happy to help.
The more funds we raise for the Master Plan, the more community engagement we’re able to do. Your support helps us connect with residents, gather feedback, and truly hear how you want to reimagine Oakridge’s greenspaces for the future. We are in the process of doing a formal RFP with select landscape architects in the first half of this year, so keep your eyes on this space for information on when our first engagement sessions will be held.
Lastly, mark your calendars! The fourth Annual Oakridge Run is happening on June 20. More details on routes and ticket prices will be coming soon — we can’t wait to see the community out again this year.
