We started 2026 with a great plan for the coming year at Sage Gatherings. Our first meeting was on January 7 and we now have our speakers lined up for the next five months. There will be many more opportunities for you to attend speaker’s events in the coming months, please watch for it in this space of the Echo.
We are very fortunate to have many wonderful members who are willing to share their time and experiences with us, or they are connected to others who are very generous with their time and knowledge. Please join us for our presentation next month and stay tuned for the rest of our 2026 lineup!

February Presentation

• February 4: The speaker for February will be Nagwan Al-Guneid, MLA representing Calgary Glenmore since 2023, she is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship and will be sharing information about Sustainable Energy.
• March 11: The speaker will be Brian Hawco with Pinnacle Group, he will be speaking about choosing the right contractor for the right job for any home renovations. Brian will also work through how to determine the scope of your project and ensure that the plan meets the needs you are trying to achieve.
Please note: All speaker series presentations are by a donation of your choice and mostly held on the second floor of the Oakridge Community Centre. Please read the Echo and watch for posters on the bulletin board at the entrance for information.
