Here we are in midsummer once again, hope you are having a relaxing break before busy September activities are upon us.

As ever, in everything we do in the community association we keep in mind our primary vision to foster and enhance opportunities to connect with each other in our beautiful community. A place to belong is vital to our health and is our goal for all who live and visit here. To that end our focus this year is to expand both the membership and the activities we support. Membership in the community association is an easy and inexpensive way to stay connected. As well as other benefits you’ll hear more about in the coming months, you will receive frequent email updates and information about activities and events, as well as news and opportunities for advocacy for the community character we love. Please use the QR code in this newsletter to join or look on the PBPcommunity.ca website.

While we are already a very mixed and welcoming community with such a variety of households, single family, townhouses, towers, and walk-ups plus seniors and elder care residences; we are sometimes accused of wanting to exclude new housing potential. In the limited footprint of Palliser, Bayview, and Pumphill and adjoining neighbourhoods there are already plans for additional housing with traffic and infrastructure impacts… TAZA to the west, Co-op and JCC planned developments for example.

So, enjoy summer, keep your eyes and ears open, get connected and get involved!

I can be reached at [email protected] anytime for comments, questions, or concerns.

P.S. We still need a board Treasurer! No experience necessary.
