We look forward to working with our newly elected City Council and School Boards. Many aspects impact us in Palliser, Bayview, and Pumphill – infrastructure concerns like water facilities and road potholes, and how densification plans impact needs in our schools, parks, and recreation facilities throughout the community.

We are continuing to update the outside space, furniture, and audiovisual capacity of the larger hall and hoping to attain some City grant funding for parts of this work. Our aim is to make the space more attractive and functional for community activities and increase our rental potential and revenue.
As we all adjust to the “fall back” to Mountain Standard Time, our recycling, compost, and waste pickup times have also reverted to the winter format where compost, like black box garbage, is only picked up every other week. Especially with the change earlier this year of which day each bin is picked up, it’s easy to get confused on what is picked up when. There is a great app you can download, Calgary Garbage Day tells you each week what day your black, blue, and green boxes are picked up, and other useful info.
PBPCA is working on more events for the families and children in our community, please hold the afternoon of Saturday, December 13 for our Jingle and Mingle Skate Party family event. If there’s no ice, we’ll still party. More details to come, and volunteers to help organize are very welcome. Watch the website and socials, or better yet join the community association if you haven’t already and get direct emails about this and all news and events.
