Happy 2025, hope you are all keeping cozy and warm, as winter rolls on.
November19 was a special evening as a great group of community minded people met for our annual meeting. Many thanks for coming, and also to our hard-working board, special appreciation for all you do throughout the year. I was sad to hear that a number of people are not returning to the board table. They will be missed, but we say thank you for your service.
I do want to say a very special thanks to Benedikt, our retiring membership director, who has served us for many years. As well as his duties on membership, he was always there for us whether it was Oktoberfest, the Chili Cookoff, or bar service at numerous events, the community cleanup. Thank you so much Benny. We hope to see you soon, don’t be a stranger.
I am hoping that this New Year brings many positive things to this community. I do see a need for new people to join the board and fill in some of the vacant positions. Volunteering can bring so many positive things, and often does not involve many hours of your time. Please consider service to your community. I for one hope our main hall will open, so we can plan a few more social gatherings.
For now, I say goodbye, stay safe, and always remember to smell the roses. Yes, as my photo shows, they will bloom again
Cheers
Isabell
Those roses will bloom again!
